We are excited to introduce our new group of eight beneficiaries for 2024. This annual announcement of new beneficiaries represents the culmination of months of effort and collaboration. We dedicate an entire year to ensuring that vulnerable students in Colombia who are at risk of dropping out have the opportunity to achieve their university dreams. Our team works persistently to raise funds, build partnerships, and refine our programs to provide not just financial support but a holistic framework for the success of every student. Every donor and volunteer plays a vital role in this process, helping us turn aspirations into action. This announcement celebrates everything we stand for breaking down barriers, creating opportunities, and empowering the next generation of professionals. Each year, this moment reminds us why we do what we do to open doors that might otherwise remain closed and to change lives, one student at a time.

Our new beneficiaries inspire us daily with their resilience and determination. Each has a compelling story of overcoming adversity. Despite growing up with limited financial resources, they have overcome significant access barriers to gain admission to university, pursue a higher education degree, and tackle the challenge of working to support themselves. Their courage and ambition push us to strive harder and aim higher. These students are examples of perseverance and dedication, achieving personal success against the odds. Their journeys remind us that, with the proper support, even the loftiest dreams can be achieved. They show us that no challenge is too great when determination and opportunity come together.

Meet our new beneficiaries

This year, our beneficiaries come from eight municipalities across four Colombian provinces: Antioquia, Córdoba, Nariño, and Putumayo. They are pursuing degrees in a variety of fields. Four students are focusing on engineering (civil, electrical, and geological), two are pursuing health-related degrees (medicine and nursing), and the remaining two are studying social sciences (social work and political science). In terms of their universities, half of the students attend the University of Antioquia, while the other half study at the National University of Colombia. Each student embodies the drive and determination we support at impactU Foundation, and we are proud to be part of their university journey.

A heartfelt thank you to our supporters

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers and donors who made it possible to support these eight new beneficiaries. Your generous efforts have enabled these students to continue pursuing their dreams and make significant changes in their lives. Because of your support, we can assist these talented individuals not just with financial assistance, but with the tools and support they need to succeed in their educational journeys. Every donation and every hour volunteered has a lasting and meaningful impact on their futures, and we truly appreciate your trust in us. Together, we are making a tangible difference in their lives, and your support is vital to our mission and their success. Thank you for being an essential part of this transformative journey and for believing in the potential of each student.

Join us!

For every student we support, there are many others whose dreams remain in uncertainty. Each year, we receive applications from talented students who meet our criteria, but cannot support them due to limited resources. We are committed to doing more, and with your support, we can reach even more students. Whether you volunteer your time or make a donation, your contribution provides the critical support they need. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to helping more students achieve their dreams. Your involvement will open doors for these students and create a brighter future for their families and communities. Support us and let’s change lives together!
