Today we are filled with joy to introduce our eleven new beneficiaries for 2025. This announcement, which has already become one of our most anticipated traditions, reflects months of dedication, collaboration, and shared hope. Each year, this process reminds us why we exist: so that no talented student in Colombia has to abandon their studies due to lack of support. Behind each of these young people there is a story of effort and determination. At impactU we work throughout the year to ensure that these stories can continue. We seek partners, strengthen our program, and raise funds to offer comprehensive support that combines professional development, continuous guidance, and financial assistance. Thanks to the commitment of our donors and volunteers, eleven more young people will be able to continue their university education and move forward toward a future full of possibilities.
Stories that inspire and transform
Our new beneficiaries represent the strength and diversity of a youth that wants to build a more prosperous future. This year highlights a strong presence of students in engineering fields. Seven of the eleven beneficiaries are pursuing chemical, mechanical, agricultural, mining, civil, environmental, and industrial engineering. These disciplines are pillars of economic development, drive innovation, and promote sustainable solutions to the major challenges of the future. The other four beneficiaries study astronomy, medicine, nursing, and foreign languages. These fields expand the outlook toward scientific knowledge, health, and global connection. Together, their areas of study reflect the breadth of talent and the relevance of their education for the future of their regions.
This year we also celebrate a significant expansion in the geographic reach of the program. The eleven new beneficiaries come from ten different departments of Colombia, and five of them, Arauca, Caldas, Cauca, Meta, and Sucre, join the impactU map for the first time. Each new region represents another door that opens and an opportunity for more young people to transform their lives through education.
