Are you enrolled at the University of Antioquia, Medellin campus, or the National University of Colombia, Medellin campus, and did you move to Medellin from another location to study?

The impactU 2026 Call for Applications may be an opportunity to develop your potential, strengthen your capabilities, and expand your opportunities for the future. Applications will be open from October 5 through October 23, 2026.

Our program supports students from remote areas who face significant financial constraints and have had to relocate to study. During your participation, you will have opportunities for personal and professional development. You will also receive ongoing guidance and monthly financial support intended to give you greater stability while you study. These forms of support help sustain the conditions you need to make the most of those opportunities.

An opportunity to develop your potential

We want you to make the most of your university years, progress in your studies, and prepare for what comes after graduation. During your participation, you will have access to development opportunities that complement your university education. Through workshops, mentoring, English-language learning, and projects, the program aims to help you strengthen personal and professional capabilities and explore your interests, goals, and opportunities for the future. Activities and priorities may vary based on your needs, interests, and stage of development. Your active participation will be key to making the most of these opportunities.

Development also takes time, continuity, and conditions that allow you to stay engaged. That is why the program provides ongoing guidance to help you address situations that may affect your well-being, adjustment, or ability to remain in university. Financial support helps reduce pressures that could make it harder to continue your studies or participate in the program. Together, these forms of support help you sustain your development over time.

Is this opportunity for you?

You may apply if you are enrolled in an in-person undergraduate program at the University of Antioquia, Medellin campus, or the National University of Colombia, Medellin campus, and meet all of the following conditions:

  • You permanently moved from a location more than 80 kilometers from Medellin to pursue your university studies.
  • You have completed and passed all courses corresponding to the first two semesters of your undergraduate program.
  • Your household is classified in socioeconomic stratum 1 or 2.
  • You have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.
  • You do not already hold a university or technological degree.

Students enrolled at regional campuses of the University of Antioquia or at other campuses of the National University of Colombia may not apply. Meeting these requirements allows you to participate in the selection process, but does not guarantee that you will be selected to join the program.
