Attention students of the University of Antioquia and the National University of Colombia at Medellín! Do you want to take a big step towards achieving your university dreams? The Impact-U Foundation is here to support you. We know that the journey to success seems difficult, especially for those facing economic limitations and coming from remote areas away from university campuses. That’s why we are pleased to announce our new call for the impactU scholarship in the year 2024.

The impactU Scholarship is designed to provide comprehensive support to undergraduate students of the University of Antioquia and the National University of Colombia at Medellín, who come from stratum 1 or 2 and are at risk of dropping out of university due to socio-economic difficulties. If you meet these requirements and have had to permanently relocate to pursue your studies from places that are more than 80 km away from the university campus, this scholarship may be for you.

What benefits can you expect from this scholarship?

1. Financial support: You will receive a monthly stipend for maintenance expenses equivalent to 50% of the SMMLV for twelve months of the year, along with an additional financial incentive of 25% of the SMMLV for the months you are enrolled.
2. Professional development: You will have access to personalized English courses to improve your language skills, as well as soft skills training designed to enhance your professional success in the job market.
3. Mentorship: You will have personalized mentoring with professionals distinguished in your field of study to provide guidance, as well as psychological support to ensure your emotional well-being and overall success.

The duration of the scholarship will remain in effect until you graduate or until five years have elapsed since the start of your undergraduate program, provided you meet all the requirements established by the foundation to maintain the scholarship at all times.

What requirements must you meet to apply for the scholarship?

Make sure you meet all the requirements to participate:

1. Residence: Have permanently relocated from a location more than 80 km from the university campus to pursue your university studies.
2. Academic performance: Have completed and passed, at a minimum, the second level of your undergraduate program in its entirety.
3. Socio-economic status: Belong to stratum 1 or 2.
4. Financial support: Not be receiving other financial support from government or private entities, except for Jóvenes en Acción and university support for food or transportation.
5. Previous education: Not have any university or technological degree.
6. Academic performance: Have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
